There are things that gnaw at a man worse than dying.
~Charley Waite, Open Range
We come to the end of my memoir, but the story is far from over. For I carry the memories, the grief, and the love with me each day as I move forward in my Life After the experience. It colors and impacts the man that I am today. I am a cowboy, a warrior, a poet, a writer and so much more. Child of the King, husband, father, friend and the list goes on. My wife’s death did not change any of those things.
We have covered the three individual sections within my memoir.
- Reconciling the Past
- Embracing the Present
- Redeeming the Future
I hope you have found value from my thoughts while revisiting each chapter, now three years after it’s publication in 2021.
They say that men are not supposed to cry
Just another bulls— lie
You will never see tears fall from his eyes
Just another bulls— lie
And piece by piece is how a man’s soul dies
Just another bulls— lie
