Walking backwards through life
From dark to light
Death comes first makes no sense
The circle begins
Around it goes forever on and on
Not stopping for long
Birth is now a fresh new start
Forever it comes
Death to life or is it life to death
Matters not the way
We traverse the sphere
For the never-ending circle of life
Continues to roll

Always together, never apart. Whether in spirit, body or mind we will meet up again. I think those around us are always with us no matter where we are in our existence.
Agreed! Thanks Heidi!
This one I really like – twisted mind, turning around the circle and questioning direction. That is free. A free spirit.
Kind of how I have felt lately, glad you liked it! Thanks!
The Alpha and Omega: the circle never ends. Well said, Mark!
Thank you Kim, it is a circle that can never be broken.
And so it goes. Nice work. 🙂
Thank you Dorothy!
Life to death or death to life? I like that. Great piece, lots to ponder…love these kinds of free writes. Oh the possibilities!
Thanks, Mark.
Thank you Kellie! This one seemed so random as I wrote but seemed to be saying something at the same time, that is free writing!
Beautifully written.
Thank you Colline!
Much like the chicken and the egg — a very evocative poem. If you believe in reincarnation, then life is death is life. Karma. Fate. Faith.
“walking backwards through life” great first line. I did that most of my adult life. Progressing forward yet facing backward.
Great writing!
Thanks!
