The Haunting Of…

Stare into my eyes
And what do you see
Beyond mere physical
The redness and fatigue
Past a tiredness and regret
The HAUNTING of
Whatever this way may come
In uncertainty and chaos
For in times of trouble
Steady on my friends
Hope is still alive

Sometimes we just don’t know, and sometimes we have to move and get off the X.

You have the power to help, power to make the world a little better one ripple at a time. The future is uncertain and our souls need rest. Our hearts are haunted, it is a time of troubles and yet, we must believe that hope is still alive.

Challenge: During this time of uncertainty in which we find ourselves what one thing can you do?

Are There Colors Beyond the Gray?

  • Seeing
  • Seeking
  • Shifting
  • Searching
  • Succeeding

Photo of Columbia River Gorge – Washington State, May 2020

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We see what we want to see.
We seek what it is that we wish to be.
We shift for the things we think we need.
We search for promises while our hearts bleed.
We succeed when gray turns to colors and we believe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. ~James 1:17

What do you choose to believe?

Time Never Cares

Time never cares what we do it just marches ever forward. There is no turning back when you realize what you regret. #LiveIntentionally #ChooseWisely #BeKind

“Contemplation” Photo of Dungeness Bay near Sequim, WA

Each day and each moment offers us an opportunity to make a difference. To touch a life and help even one person breath easier, even for a single moment. How often do we allow those moments of opportunity just slip away as time moves on?

In these times we find ourselves in, it has been said we should never waste a crisis. Well, now is the time to be intentional in how we treat others. Especially those closest to us, those we may find ourselves sequestered with day after day.

  1. BE KIND
  2. SPEAK LIFE
  3. LOVE FREELY
  4. FORGIVE OFTEN
  5. GIVE GRACE

Pick one thing from the list today and extend that to others and especially to yourself. Remember you matter too, and time will march on whether we act or not.

Now what will you do today?

Happy Places

“The best view is always looking between a horses ears!” ~Mark Wayne

Through sun and shadow
Across mountains divide
Down the valleys wide
Sitting tall in the saddle

Carrying our burdens
Despite the rain and wind
Two hearts intertwined
Tending to our afflictions

Sharing a little bit of sunshine on a gray rainy day in the Pacific Northwest. May you always have a little sunshine in you heart. Hoping you can always find a happy place and hold it close in your heart. One of my happy places is the barn where I occasionally get to ride my daughters horse.

Where is your happy place?
