The Haunting of Free Write Friday (#FWF)

branches drip down spindly fingers reaching the ground

walking the path unbeknownst to you spirits silently laugh

breezes blow while inside eternal life sleeps as blood flows

enter into your darkest fears and abandon all you hold dear

a moment of ecstasy in piecing of skin robs your life of destiny

cold and eternal night your eyes bereft of future sight

damned by fate there is no hope realizing a moment to late
