As Halloween approaches how would you finish this sentence?

  • Scary/Suspenseful?It was a dark and stormy night and the moonlight glistened off the metal knife edge stained with blood as his breath came in raged gasps.
  • Humorous/Funny?It was a dark and stormy night but the whipped cream and chocolate pie stains around his mouth were the only evidence left behind from his midnight refrigerator raid.
  • Peaceful/Contented?It was a dark and stormy night but the warmth of the crackling fire cast a peaceful glow across the room as she stared at the pictures in the photo album in her lap, remembering the past and the smiles that had left all too soon.

  1. Scary/Suspenseful? – It was a dark and stormy night and the sounds of footsteps could be heard over the thunder. My heart trembled as I thought of what was coming down the hall.

Humorous/Funny? – It was a dark and stormy night… nahhh that is too scary! It was a bright sunshiny day when I age my egg full of chocolate!

Peaceful/Contented?- It was a dark and stormy night when I cuddled up to my best friend in front of a warm and inviting fire. It was a beautiful night. One filled with contentment, laughter and love.

    Fun Mark! Thanks!!! xoxoxo

  2. It was a dark and stormy night when suddenly cloud-to-ground lightning bolts zig-zagged across the sky illuminating the ghostly shawdows in the distance: a boy and his dog? a vampire and a werewolf?
