Slowly you drift away
And could not stay
You are not coming back
Fade to black
Screams of anguish
Vacant staring eyes
Seeing a future die
Left alone I languish
You took all I knew
You took all my dreams
You took nothing it seems
You left and took my future too
I can’t be what they always want me to be
They always want way too much of me
So I shrink back into the shadows
My clanging heart like a bell does tolls
So I shrink from union with another soul
Then shines your light
The darkness fades
And a love cascades
As grace chases away my night
