Heartbroken, I fear the worst
watching silently
Love, fading steadily over time
wrestling down
Memories, of a forgotten past
helpless fallen
Strength, is now forever gone
hopeless drifting
Innocence, shattered with the dawn

Polar opposite of mine for these two lovers, good poetry – speaks volumes, just like Matt Black’s photography.
So very true, everyone has a unique perspective. One of the things that makes FWF so unique and fun to read others impressions of the prompts. Thanks for commenting!
Unique perspective on this image. I like the harsh truths in the overall message.
Thank you so much!
Perfect words to match the photo.
Thank you Colline!
Reminds us that life is not always easy, and no matter how hard we try, the most important things can slip through our fingers.
That is where the words were coming from, sorta hopeful in that the two were still together despite the trials. Thanks Heidi!
Great job, Mark. What a bittersweet poem!
Thanks Cheryl!
You captured the feeling of these photos even in your title. It is heartbreaking to look at the circumstances these people are living in and wonder what they truly are thinking.
Thank you so much Robyn!
