Confessions

Sometime we need to confess our darkness and repent, only then will the cracks appear that will allow the light of healing to pierce our wounded hearts. What do you need to confess? We are all in this together and need each other.

Is there GRACE when SINS are REPEATED??

Is there Grace when Sins are Repeated? | Grace | Hope | Love | Quote |

Pin Me

It is easy to believe in whispered lies.
As our hearts spiral downward,
a sweet poison is the penalty.
For sins repeated.
On the wings of love we can rise,
from the ashes and darkness deep.
Forgiveness for still believing the lies.
So many lives lie in utter disarray and
forgotten hopes lay quietly.
Yearning for love,
to fill our empty hearts in pain.
Searching for mercy,
to fill our empty souls in need.
Passion ignites a forging of fire and
transcendent love still waits.
As our heart drums and the underworld collides
with the dawn eclipsing the dark.
Eternal brilliant rays of light shoot forth
like arms to hold our wounded hearts.

How many times are we forgiven for sins repeated? In the bible Jesus tells us to forgive 70 x 7 times, so… wouldn’t it stand to reason that God would also forgive us at least that many times? I believe he does, for he his a just and merciful God. I am thankful for this as it allows me to be the complete screw up at times that I am, or just a beautiful mess, and to keep on believing in a better future and a better me. To always try again. What do you think?

The Animal is Me

Lost in confused belief of one small spark.
Still quiet of darkening night as color fades.
Haunting romance silently floats on a soft breeze.
Timeless truth pulls something more ancient yet new.
Am I alone?
Voiceless questions my mind screams my heart answers.
Mutely searching for moments lost to the eternities.
Watched endlessly by loving jealous eyes of grace.
A caged animal not realizing the animal is me

How often do we deceive ourselves by believing the lie that we are alone? Tortured and trapped we live in a web of lies and deceit carefully spun by the enemy of our souls. And, yet, there is another who watches over us with loving jealous eyes of grace. One who seeks our eternal freedom and salvation.

He is for us, he will help us and he is not finished with us yet!

The Secret of Strength

Jesus wept.

~John 11:35

Bull$√!+He suffered scorn, he was ridiculed and mocked, bruised and beaten. He did not speak against those who mercilessly crucified him and he willingly gave his own life. He was strong, in ways that the world did not and does not understand to this day.
He stood strong against all that was evil and wrong in the world with an unfathomable compassion and love.
He refused to compromise the truth, and yet, when those he loved died he wept. He felt and expressed emotions deeply and lived his life on earth fully as a model for us to follow. If it was good enough for him, it is good enough for me and I refuse to believe or live the enemy’s lie.
What about you, who and what will you believe?

Replacing your lies

1451716228084

This is the first poem I wrote for the ‘New Beginnings’ poetry challenge sponsored by 451 Press Poets during the month of January from the prompt Breaking the Habits. The challenge was to write a poem a day inspired by the posted prompt.

Do we not all have habits we wish we could break? To truly break a habit we much replace it with something better. This poem speaks of the lies that we are told and how we need to replace them with truth. Remember that you matter, just believe that grace wins and hope lives!
