Clinging to Hope

image

Clinging to hope
we look for rest,
stranded here in the in-between.
What was is gone
and what will be,
seems to come so slowly.

Like a angel
to the father,
forever grounded without wings.
The life we envision
and the life we live,
seems to be miles apart.

Redemption,
is within reach.
Within reach is,
restoration.

Bent over against
life’s strong gales,
searching for the moments grace.
The mercy and love
is there for us,
as we are clinging to hope.

Life Is Upon You

Life is upon you
Whether you risk it or not
Blessed graceful courage

Called to shine a light
Into the dark that abounds
Sacred hope revealed

Evil will invade
Stay vigilant and faithful
Forever just believe

Truth will overcome
Love will reign against the dark
And shine endless light

(Poem 4 of 31 for #OctPoWriMo, written in Haiku over four stanzas. Grace wins! ~M)

There May Be Days Like These

LonelinessTime to rise, meet the day and let go of yesterday.
“How are you?” they smile and say.
“Fine”, “Good”, “Ok”, you smile and say.
Truth be told, the words ring cold. If I could be so bold.
To be real, here’s the deal about how I really feel.

“I am lost inside,” I say. You stop and only stare.
“I silently cry, can’t you see the pain in my eyes?”
You walk away, seems you have nothing at all to say.
No words of care, no touch of grace or a moment to share.

I will rise, within His light and then I’ll fly alright,
My life is here, my time is now to take back what once was lost.
I look up at the sky and I shout out loud for all to hear,

“There may be days like these but,
I chose to believe and be free!”

Between the Eternities – A Poem

wpid-wp-1409436116985.jpegWe search, we seek to find.
What do we desire?
To fill our heart’s empty place,
with the extravagance of holy fire.
Will we ever be satisfied?
As we sojourn between the eternities,
what can we hope to find?
A raging fire in a single candle flame.
A master symphony in one single note.
A rainbow of color in single drop of rain.
A stretch of beach in one single grain of sand.
A lush forest overgrown in a single leaf.
A year’s harvest in a single piece of fruit.
A story of timeless truths in one single word.
A whole life lived in one single simple moment.
We strive, we slave to find.
Do we believe our desires?
When all is freely given if only,
we would surrender and just believe.

Full of Faults

Full of FaultsSelf-awareness, accountability, honesty and truth with oneself is the first step to healing.  We must be willing to face our own fears and venture into the darkness of our hearts.  For there in the black void is where the light will shine the brightest.
You are not alone; be strong despite the fears and never give up –
Just Believe that Grace Wins and Hope Lives!
