Autumn’s Refrain

autumns-refrainAs the storms rage here in the Pacific Northwest, my thoughts turn to the storms that rage in our lives. Remembering that this too shall pass and hope is no small thing.

God, Poetry

God in the Storm

Let the winds blow harder,
Let the rain fall faster,
Let the lightning slice the darkness,
And let the thunder crash the silence.
In the chaos and fury.
In the sound and passion.
In the strength and tempest.
Let yourself feel the power,
Let yourself hear my voice,
Let yourself know in the midst,
And let yourself believe that I am,
God in the storm.
