Misty Mysterious Mountains

There is something mysterious and mystical about a gray rainy PNW day. The silence and shadows will take you in and if you stop and listen you can hear God’s voice and words of truth.

It helps me to get away even briefly with the rush of the holiday season. To stop the busyness of work and the thousand and one things that vie for our attentions.

We must slow down and ask ourselves what is really important. Am I doing what God would have me do or just spinning my wheels in the mud?

What refreshes your soul and how do you get away?

Are There Colors Beyond the Gray?

  • Seeing
  • Seeking
  • Shifting
  • Searching
  • Succeeding

We see what we want to see.

We seek what it is that we wish to be.

We shift for the things we think we need.

We search for promises while our hearts bleed.

We succeed when gray turns to colors and we believe.

Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. ~James 1:17

Nowhere Without You

Nowhere Without You

A revised poem, rewritten from the original in 2014. You can view that poem, No Colors Here on my blog at this link. I like the addition of the words to the photo. On the previous blog post they were separate. Yes, that is an edited selfie of me. 🙂

Not sure if I am becoming a better writer or not, but definitely different as the years go by.  And isn’t that ultimately the goal to not stay the same but to hopefully continually to become a better version of ourselves? Remember you matter, everyone matters!
