Summertime Fun – Social Distancing Style

Leavenworth, WA – July 2020

Our family recently went camping to central WA, between the town of Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee. A wonderful getaway from all the clamor and chaos that is surrounding us all each day with the impacts of the pandemic on our lives.

We went to the small Bavarian town of Leavenworth one afternoon for a couple of hours and had ice cream. And yes we wore masks in the stores, it was nice and the town is pretty cool and unique. I encourage you to visit if you ever get to central WA.

The real joys of the trip was camping, being together and being out in nature. The weather was great, minus the mosquito’s 🦟, warm sunny days and perfect clear nights with a thousand stars. We played in the river, went on bike rides and walks, went on drives into the mountains, had campfires and just hung out as a family.

Nature is my best kind of social distancing. It recharges me and helps me to get back to enjoying the simple and important things in my life.

What is your favorite kind of social distancing?

Based on what I have seen, heard and read so far we might be better off with man’s best friend in the White House. I say let the campaign begin now!

Are you ‘Riding a Carousel Horse’?

Carousel HorsesCarousel horses go up and down.
Carousel horses are lost,
never to be found.

Carousel horses go round and round.

Horses, in powerful beauty.
Horses, in gentle strength and mercy.
Horses, in love ever truly.

Are you riding a carousel horse?
Just going up and down,
round and round.

A carousel horse will never,
ever, veer from its course.

The End of Summer Fun!?

Roy Pioneer Rodeo – September 2015

Two short videos from the Roy Pioneer Rodeo in Roy, Washington over Labor Day Weekend here in the Pacific Northwest.  The video above was edited by me using the smart phone app Magisto. The video below was compiled by Google photos from my video collection.

Do you have a favorite? We enjoyed a great afternoon at the rodeo as summer starts to wane into autumn. What fun have you had lately?

But don’t be afraid to be willing to pay the price.” ~Lane Frost
