art transcends through seasons of change
for your eyes, heart and soul
the fires of spring
the drums of summer
the death of fall
the stars of winter
shining a light into the dark
of humanities heart
under a dark sky of forgotten lullaby’s
art captures hearts unaware
for our eyes, heart and soul
fires warm the coldest places
drums beat a cadence of love
death brings new beginnings
stars silently pierce the night
always shining a light into the dark
art is the beckoning beauty
a shot of hope into the black
a small spark of light
a promise of grace and mercy
a voice that speaks of love
sustaining hearts with visions
art for your eyes, heart and soul in
the fires of spring
the drums of summer
the death of fall
the stars of winter
may art always shine a light into the dark

Very insightful and inspiring words here. You make me want to visit a gallery of fine art.
Thank you Suzanne! Me too easy to get lost in art!
It’s like a song, love the repeated refrain.
Thank you so much! It just kept repeating itself in my mind and onto the page!
The art of spring. The colors of the flowers, the green of the new leaves on the trees. Life coming back to the sleeping land of gray and dreary. There are times when I think natures art is the best kind. 🙂
Heidi I so agree! Thanks for the kind words!
Mark … this is positively beautiful … I love love love this … especially your repeated stanzas of the seasons!
Thanks Annie! I made me happy writing it too I could easily see the different seasons and the beauty that is captured in each one!
Wow, Mark, that’s beautiful! And what wonderful rhythm. It flows and invites reader to the end. Love it!
Thank you Dorothy! That is high praise and very much appreciated, I am glad you liked it!
This is exactly how I feel about heart. Provoking feelings in this poem. Like the refrain as well.
Thank you Kim! To lose heart is to lose all! We must protect our hearts at all costs. Thanks again!
sigh ♥ that is all. 🙂
