captured_by_snapseed_1_1[1]So, who are they?  And why do we listen to them anyway?

The world tells us what to do, what to say, what to be and what to feel.

“Jesus wept.”

Some would say this is a weakness, a failing, a lack of …something. I tend to believe it was and is a great strength.  For only in our empathy can we truly love and care for another with no ulterior motives.  Only when we acknowledge our own fears and failures can we even begin to offer some of the better parts of ourselves.  You have exactly what someone else needs.

Acknowledge the fear, do it anyway and just believe!

  1. I love this! Remember the part in Quiggly Down Under where Cora is holding the baby, trying to get it to stop crying because she is afraid of them being found, but then she realizes that being quiet can be just as bad and worse than crying and tells that baby…

“No, you cry. You wanna cry?
You cry if you want to.
    Go on, darling, cry!
Hell, let’s both make some noise!”

I love that part because so many times we are forced into shutting down and then our lives just seem to fizzle out. With no pain, there is no such thing as joy.

    Blessings and thanks for this!
