Life moves along as scenery along the road

Wondering if this is all

A wandering soul caught by the wind

Blowing easily down

Lost in the freedom of the moment

Feeling the lightness of

The floating sounds of nothingness

Overlap the droning air

I wonder at the sound passing by

My minds a blank

An empty canvas that captures the art

That is my life

I love this stanza! As a fellow artist, I know the feeling of tabula rasa and all the creative juices flowing but stuck because I haven’t started yet.

    1. Thanks so much Heather, I am right there with you. This one seemed to meander all over the place to my mind, but the last stanza does sum up my truth. Have a great weekend!

  2. Mark … oh my … this so touched me … thanks for sharing. What lovely words to begin my Saturday! This section spoke directly to me:

    1. Thanks Annie! I take it you have been in the moment where you are lost, feeling light and floating in the sounds of nothingness? πŸ™‚ I know that I have, sometimes quite frequently but sometimes not frequently enough! Have a great weekend!

  3. The feeling of nothingness, when the world seems to breathe in, shift, rearrange then move forward. Then sometimes it just gets stuck and despite all ones efforts refuses to budge. Can be a calming feeling or a scary one. Lovely poem. πŸ™‚

  4. Funny how a drive on an open road with just the wind and your thoughts can seduce a person. I love this piece as it is so much a reflection of many times I have pondered life while out driving. Beautiful ♥

    1. Thanks Kellie! Your prompts are always inspiring and your encouragement helps us all to higher places we never might have known existed otherwise!
