there is wrong , there is right; there is dark, there is light
there is below, there is above; there is hate, there is love
there is evil, there is good; there is shouldn’t, there is should
there is black, there is white; there is blindness, there is sight
there is fatigue, there is rest; there is worst, there is best
there is fog, there is sun; there is hell, there is heaven

I choose the one I wish, the path leads to destruction or bliss
You hurt me then, you won’t hurt me now
I hated you then, I forgive you now
Pulling the knife from my back, I drop it to the ground
Walking silently away I will break your hold
Thankfully we often do not get what we think we deserve

  1. Love the yin and yang take on the prompt. And it is absolutely correct! I also appreciate how it gives me the feeling of “ah well…life goes on”. We should really allow ourselves to just let go more often, in knowing that there is a natural course to everything and, well, what comes around goes around. lol 🙂

    Thanks, Mark! xox

    1. It is so true Kellie, we rationalize, justify etc, etc when often it is just that life, the good, the bad and the ugly! (I stole that last part :))

    1. It is where I am at trying to move forward but often held by the past and often it is simply me that won’t let go. Thank you Sharla!

  2. Beautifully said, my friend…

“You hurt me then, you won’t hurt me now
I hated you then, I forgive you now”

The lines above were my favorite. A valuable lesson for all of us!

    Many blessings,
