“Bare Sheer Opal Whirls Conjuring Vague Alluring Dreams” ~M

The above was created for Free Write Friday using what is called stream of consciousness, no editing, no proofing just creating (usually writing, hence the Free Write Friday, but this week I went a little more visual with micro-poetry because that is what came to mind) from the following Word Bank prompt:

Opal, Vague, Whirl, Dream, Sheer, Conjure, Bare, Allure !

    1. Thank you Kellie! This one took me out of my comfort zone for FWF cause it is supposed to be ‘writing’, right? But being a visual artist to I just had this vision of colors behind the words. Glad you like it! Thank you again!

      1. I don’t care how you interpret the prompts…as long as you take advantage of your creative muse! I was so pleased with this one! What a treat!!! Thank you!

  1. Mark,

This was absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing the many gifts that God has given you with us. I think this is one of my favorite pieces of your works… I love the dreamy opalescent images it creates…

    God bless you,
    Cheryl

    1. Thank you so much, that is what I saw in my mind all day after reading the word bank Friday morning, so got home from work and wrote it out and painted!

  2. A party of colours and curves, reminds me of various natural rock and sand formations, places where visual and spoken stories/histories have been shared over hundreds of years. An alluring (yes, allure, the word I some how skipped this week) art piece, Mark.

    1. Thanks so much Sean! It is interesting the different visuals others get from colors on a page. A picture is worth a thousand words, right? 🙂

  3. WOW, this is fabulous Mark! The prompt words caught my eye right away, and then your painting grabbed me. I admire y’all who can respond to the challenges like this one–I tend to be a bit too rigid (Lord, heal me!). But I’m thinkin’ maybe I should go see Kellie–maybe I could stretch a little… God bless you–sis Caddo

    1. Thank you Caddo! You should check out the Free Write Friday prompts on Kellie’s blog. It is definitely freeing to just allow the holy spirit to guide you and I have tapped parts of me I never realized where there.
